We make all candles by hand in our candle making facility in Utrecht. We do so using 100% soy wax: this product is not only sustainably produced, but also vegan! Extra nice: soy candles burn 30% to 45% longer than kerosene candles. So triple sustainability.

Our soy wax
Comes from North American soil, mainly from Illinois, Iowa and Indiana. This premium soy wax is made from the oil of soybeans. The oil is 100% biodegradable and soy wax is very easy to clean with soap and water, should you have spilled some!

Wick
The wicks we use are lead and zinc free. So there are no metals added to them. Perhaps more clearly, the wick is made of natural cotton flat wires interwoven with paper threads, in addition we use raw wooden wicks.

Information and usage tips

Burning times always depend on the placement of your candle. In drafty places, the candle burns a little faster. Burn times also depend on the height of your wick. The longer the wick, the faster the candle burns.

You can extend the burn time of your candles by letting the candles burn long enough so that the wax pool reaches the edge. If you don't let the candles burn all the way to the edge when you first burn them, they will tunnel down into the wax instead of melting all the way to the edge.

Usage tips:

1.Trim the wick to 0.5 cm before you burn your candle. You can use a wick trimmer, scissors or nail trimmer, whatever works best for you. This step ensures a clean burn and no unnecessary smoke.

2. Burn candles only on a flat, fireproof surface.

3. Burn candles only in plain sight.

4. On the first burn, ensure a full melt pool (when the melted wax reaches the edges of the holder). This step helps ensure even burning and prevents candles from tunneling (when the wax on the sides is not melted).

5. Keep candles away from children and pets.

6. Do not light candles near anything that could catch fire.

7. Do not burn these candles for more than 3 hours at a time.

8. Containers get hot while burning, do not move the candles while they are burning.
